Sure appreciate all you people who like to come out and hear local music! And it looks like it’s going to be a big summer of music for me – and it suits me just fine!
First, I’ll share this coming week, then give a brief look-ahead to Rockhound State Park and ending the summer with Pickamania!
This Sunday, 7th, 1-3 pm, The Loose Blues Band (Scott vanLinge and myself) will bring classic blues, rock, country and folk to the Yankie Creek Coffee House in the downtown Silver City arts district, Texas and Yankie Streets. It’s always free, a friendly setting, with wonderful folks.
Then Thursday, 11th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, I’ll play solo, some of my original folk and favorite rare folk covers at Diane’s Parlor, 510 N Bullard, in Silver City’s downtown historic district. Fine food and drink, and fine folks.
Ending next week, Friday, 12th, noon – 1 pm, The Loose Blues Band will bring classic blues, rock, country and folk to the beautiful Courtyard Cafe, Gila Regional Medical Center, 1313 E 32nd St, Silver City. It’s also free, and a lovely location where you can bring your own lunch or purchase from healthy choices in the cafeteria and/or from the grill outside! (And next Friday, the 19th, I’ll play this same location solo.)
If you want to check out my schedule page, you’ll find lots more events through the summer.
One of those August events is the summer music series put on by the Friends of Rockhound State Park, where Greg and Charlie and the Gypsy Feet Band will play at the stone pavilion overlooking the valley at sunset.
I was there a couple years ago with the Loose Blues Band, and it’s a beautiful setting, well worth making the drive for a day’s outing. More info is here: http://www.stateparks.com/rock_
Greg and Charlie and the Gypsy Feet Band will perform on the main stage of MRAC’s 7th Annual Pickamania weekend, second in the line-up on Saturday. The whole line-up is here: http://mimbresarts.org/pickamania2015/
Thanks for supporting local music! Love seeing you out there!
Love and Peace,
