The New Gypsy Feet Band – This Friday!

IMG_3722_2Ah….  Yes, this is where I get a lot of inspiration for my music, and my life.  Took a trip to the Gila Hot Springs on Monday, and sat at the top of Cienega Ridge with a 360-degree view.  To the east, here, I’m looking toward the Black Range in the far, far distance.  The day could not have been more perfect:  soaking in the hot springs for a few hours, enjoying the quiet, and then this beautiful stop on the ride home.

And now we’re looking forward – the New Gypsy Feet Band and I – to enjoying some rousing music on Friday night!  July 3rd, at Diane’s Parlor, in lovely, historic downtown Silver City!  Fine food and drinks, and fine folks.

The new band members are:  myself, Charlie Alfero on mandolin, Jeff Ray on bass, Dale Rucklos on guitar, Paul Hotvedt on fiddle, Paul DeMarco on flute, and introducing our new percussionist, Tony Prewit on congas.  Seven members!  Yeah!

And sounding damn fine, if I can say so myself!  So come on downtown and give a listen.  Bring your dancin’ shoes.  We’re definitely live – and lovin’ it!

DSC04572Quick preview for next week:  On Friday, July 10, I’ll appear again at the Courtyard Cafe (Gila Regional Medical Center) with a few guest musicians for their Summer Concert Series.  Every Friday, noon to 1 pm.  Bring your own lunch, or choose from the healthy options at either the grill or in the cafeteria, then eat at your leisure under the trees.  A few weeks ago, I was there, and the crowd was fantastic.  So don’t miss out on this lovely summer music venue.
